Sila Australia has been
accredited to Quality Assurance
Standard AS/NZS ISO
9001:2000 since 1995
Sila Australia’s principal objective is to enhance customer satisfaction by consistently supplying products, which both conform to specifications and meet customers’ needs. We also have a commitment to maintain a high standard of productivity and efficiency in our business, as well as compliance with regulatory obligations, which include environmental and occupational health and safety issues. The consequence of accomplishing such missions will be a prosperous business. To achieve these collective objectives, we have developed specific policies and procedures, which guide every aspect of our business. These policies and procedures make up our Management System, and are contained in the Sila Australia Management System Manual and Procedures, which are referenced within the Manual. Our customers can be confident that Sila Australia has the best available Management System, accredited to the International Standard ISO 9001:2000 by a recognized independent body, Société Générale de Surveillance. Accreditation has been maintained at Sila since 1995, and is subject to regular checks by both internal and external auditors.
A key requirement of our Management System is for continual improvement of the effectiveness of the system itself, and it therefore provides a framework for regularly reviewing policies, practices, and quality objectives. It also sets out management responsibilities, provides for appropriate control and use of the Company’s resources, and details procedures for all the activities and process of day-to-day operations.
Achieving customer satisfaction through our Management System is the concern of every person within the organisation. It begins at the research and development stage and continues through all subsequent phases of production and distribution. Thus, the Management System imposes an obligation on all Sila Australia employees, with the emphasis on prevention rather than detection, and the swift identification and resolution of problems in production, occupational health and safety, and environmental matters. All Sila employees are trained to understand the requirements in this Policy Statement as well as those in Management System policies and procedures, which are applicable to their jobs.
There is an expectation that, collectively and individually, we get things right the first time. Whilst there are often urgent tasks, there can never be short cuts allowed which compromise the objectives of the Company. Our Managers periodically review this Policy Statement in order to ensure that it continues to reflect Sila’s objectives and operations.
John Gilbert,
Director.
